Known issues
Things we already know about, so you don't have to spend a report on them. Anything not on this list is worth telling us about. When something here is fixed it comes off the list rather than getting struck through — it turns up in What's new instead.
Some sites won't let us show you their photo
2026-10-09Every imported recipe now asks before it takes the page’s photograph. A few sites refuse to let their pictures load anywhere but their own pages, so instead of the picture you get the name of the site and a link to it — look there, then choose. You can still say yes. Separately, a few sites mark their pictures as not-for-saving, and we honor that: those recipes arrive with no offer at all, which isn’t a failed import and a retry won’t change it. Your own photograph from the Photo tab is the answer in both cases, and for a book you are going to keep it is usually the better picture anyway.
Some pages won't import
2026-08-05Most links and pasted recipes come in cleanly. A site that blocks automated readers, or a recipe in an unusual layout, can still fail — a retry clears most one-off cases. If the same link or photo fails twice, send it to us; those are exactly the ones we want to see.
